Device Technologies Inc.’s first annual Global Distributor of the Year award was presented at this week’s Paris Air Show to IS-Rayfast, recognising the company for achieving the highest global gross sales within the DTI Authorized Distributor network.

Nicholas Petri, the President of Device Technologies (DTI), presented the award to IS-RAYFAST Managing Director Karen French, stating that IS-Rayfast continually sets a high standard of service to its customers, as well as providing excellent logistics and technical support to DTI.

French said she was pleased to accept the award on behalf of IS-Rayfast’s technical sales team, acknowledging its work in application engineering and specification development for Device Technologies’ unique FAA-Approved Spring-Fast® grommet edging system and related product lines on a variety of aerospace and key OEM platforms including Eurofighter Typhoon, Martin Baker ejection seating, Ipeco crew seating, BAE Systems Astute submarine and Bombardier Rail cars.  IS-Rayfast is a stocking distributor of high performance and high-quality interconnection products and services to a worldwide customer base.

Spring-Fast grommet edgings produced by Device Technologies are made from spring-loaded stainless steel, which is encapsulated in a protective polymer coating.  Spring-Fast quickly snaps into place, using only the pressure applied by the installer's fingers – eliminating the need for adhesives – which minimises the exposure of production line workers and depot maintenance personnel to hazardous materials and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) while lowering installed costs.

Spring-Fast originally was developed for the electronics industry and is fitted on avionics instruments, power supplies, lighting systems, storage and server computers, network switching and router systems, security and medical scanning, X-ray and dialysis systems, automatic teller machines, and other critical equipment.
