Terminals and Splices

      D-436 Series MiniSeal ® D
      Wire to Wire Splicing
      Heat Shrinkable, Crimp Splice

1 Used for wire splicing where size, weight and
      environmental sealing are critical. MiniSeal
crimp splices consist of a plated copper crimp
2 barrel and a separate sealing sleeve. They can
be used on a combination of wires, from 1:1 to
10:10 (sealing inserts may be required).
  3
      Features & Benefits
       • Immersion-resistant crimp splices
  4
       • Splices are smaller and lighter than
         comparable termination products.
       • Transparent heat-shrinkable insulation RoHS
  5 compliant
         provides protection & strain relief.
       • Splice provides sealing to un-etched wire
                             ®
6 insulations, including Teflon . Specifications & Approvals
       • Low total installation cost. • SAE-AS-81824/1 for D-436-36/37/38
       • Available as both ‘Butt’ (in-line) splice or • MIL spec M8184/1
  7 ‘Stub’ (parallel) splice.

      Product Selection Process
       • Determine the type of splice required - • Butt Splice: Calculate each side separately
13 Stub (parallel) or • Select the colour code for the size crimp barrel
                                                required. Using the table above.
Butt (in-line). • Determine the type of sealing sleeve required,
